Reg Levy, VP Compliance + Policy for Minds + Machines and back from ICANN54 – Dublin gives us an update on the brave new world of gTLDs and the ICANN transition away from the Department of Commerce.

The Minds + Machines Group participates in and provides services in all facets of the domain name industry, from registry ownership and operations to consumer sales via its ICANN-accredited registrar. Reg has long been interested in and informally involved with computers and technology. She was born in and educated in Germany and holds an International Baccalaureate. After a career in the insurance industry, she went on to work for Apple, which solidified her desire to work in the technology field. She has degrees in History and German from Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles, where she graduated with honors; a Zertifikat Deutsch from the Goethe Institute; and a law degree from Pepperdine.

Reg has worked in the legal field in Germany and in the corporate law department of a Fortune 500 company. Reg is admitted to practice law in California and is active in her local bar associations. She regularly volunteers her time and practices judo.
